This course provides employees with essential knowledge and practical skills to identify fire hazards and respond effectively to fire-related emergencies in the workplace. Participants are trained to recognise common causes of fires, understand fire behaviour, and assess potential fire risks within different working environments. The course includes hands-on instruction in the correct selection and safe use of firefighting equipment, such as fire extinguishers and fire blankets, enabling participants to respond appropriately during the early stages of a fire.

Learners are also trained in safe evacuation procedures, including raising the alarm, following emergency escape routes, assisting others during evacuations, and assembling at designated muster points. Strong emphasis is placed on fire prevention through good housekeeping practices, correct storage of flammable materials, and compliance with workplace fire safety procedures. By completing this course, participants contribute to a safer working environment by reducing fire risks, responding calmly in emergencies, and helping to protect lives, property, and business continuity.

This Safety Representative training programme equips employees with the knowledge and practical skills required to perform the duties of a Safety Representative in accordance with the South African Occupational Health and Safety Act (Act 85 of 1993). The course focuses on the legal framework governing workplace health and safety, including the roles and responsibilities of Safety Representatives as outlined in Section 17 and Section 18 of the Act.

Participants are trained to identify workplace hazards, conduct basic risk assessments, and participate in incident investigations to help prevent accidents and occupational injuries. This workshop provides participants with a thorough understanding of the importance of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in maintaining a safe and healthy working environment. The workshop covers the different types of PPE commonly used across various industries, including head, eye, face, hearing, respiratory, hand, foot, and body protection. Participants learn how to correctly select, use, fit, and maintain PPE to ensure maximum protection while performing their duties.

The workshop also addresses the legal responsibilities of both employers and employees, highlighting the role of PPE in preventing injuries and occupational illnesses. Emphasis is placed on recognising workplace hazards that require PPE, understanding the limitations of PPE, and the importance of regular inspection, cleaning, and replacement. By ensuring that employees are properly informed on the correct use of PPE, this workshop helps reduce workplace accidents, minimise exposure to hazards, and promote a strong safety culture within the organisation.

This training is essential for businesses operating within the food industry and is designed to ensure compliance with South African food safety, labour, and public health regulations. The course provides participants with a comprehensive understanding of safe food handling practices, personal hygiene standards, and sanitation procedures required to prevent food contamination and foodborne illnesses.

Participants are trained on correct food storage, temperature control, preparation methods, cleaning and disinfection procedures, waste management, and pest control. The training also covers cross-contamination prevention, allergen awareness, and the importance of maintaining clean workspaces and equipment. Emphasis is placed on personal hygiene practices such as handwashing, protective clothing, and health reporting requirements for food handlers.

The programme aligns with the requirements of the Department of Health, municipal health by-laws, and relevant labour and occupational health standards, ensuring that both employers and employees understand their legal responsibilities. By completing this training, food handlers and supervisors contribute to a strong food safety culture, protect public health, and ensure that food safety remains a top priority within the workplace.

This emergency preparedness training is designed to ensure employees are fully equipped to respond confidently and effectively to workplace emergencies in compliance with the South African Occupational Health and Safety Act (Act 85 of 1993, as amended). The training provides participants with a clear understanding of employer and employee responsibilities in emergency situations and the importance of having documented emergency procedures in place.

The course covers the development and implementation of evacuation plans, including emergency escape routes, alarm systems, assembly points, and accountability procedures. Participants are trained in conducting and participating in fire drills, responding to fires, medical emergencies, chemical spills, and other potential workplace incidents. Emphasis is placed on maintaining calm behaviour, following established procedures, and assisting colleagues, visitors, and persons with disabilities during evacuations.

The training also focuses on effective communication during emergencies, emergency role assignments, and coordination with emergency services.
